Guinea is one of the world’s leading producers of bauxite, with some of the largest reserves internationally. This ore, rich in alumina (aluminium oxide), is the essential raw material in the production of aluminium.
Our bauxite comes from Guinea’s strategic mining areas, including Boké and Kindia, which are known for the exceptional quality of their deposits. It is distinguished by a high alumina content (over 45%), a low reactive silica content, and a homogeneous particle size, meeting the requirements of refineries and metallurgical industries.
Used mainly in the production of alumina via the Bayer process, bauxite is also used in the manufacture of aluminium for the automotive, aeronautics and construction sectors, as well as in certain industrial applications (abrasives, ceramics, refractories).
